Pepper uses maps, in particular atlases, as found objects, playing upon their aesthetic quality, changing their purpose by incorporating them into her sculptural jewellery work and bringing them to life.

This work is part of her on-going series Book Keeping, in which she uses books from charity shops to house her textile jewellery. By doing this she is exploring the idea of making an abandoned object once again desirable, by adding the preciousness associated with jewellery.
