Bishops' House resources

Bishops' House resources introduction
We have produced these resources to support workshops and self-guided sessions at Bishops' House for Key Stage two pupils. Sessions can be adapted for Key Stage one pupils on request.

Key Stage 2
All sessions support the History programme of study and units 8 and 18 of the QCA Scheme of Work:
· What were the differences between the lives of rich and poor people in Tudor times?
· What was it like to live here in the past?

Key Stage 1
Sessions can also be adapted to support a Key Stage one visit with particular relevance to QCA History units 1 and 2:
· How are our toys different from those in the past?
· What were homes like a long time ago?

Pupils are given opportunities to:
· learn facts about the lives of people in their local area in the past
· find out about the past from a range of primary and secondary sources by asking and answering questions
· have fun in an interesting and unique environment
· be stimulated to find out more and tell friends and family
