Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs
How much does a visit cost?
When pre-booked, organised educational groups cost £1.80 per person. This fee is the same for all teachers and adult helpers and includes an enabler-led session if required.

How many adult helpers should we bring?
We would like you to have a safe, enjoyable and productive visit to the gallery. For this reason, we recommend a minimum of 1 adult per 6 pupils at KS1-2, and 1 adult per 10 pupils at KS3-4. The group leader and adult helpers are responsible for supervision at all times during a visit. Please encourage pupils to move around the space slowly and carefully and to be considerate of other visitors in the exhibition.

Where can we leave our belongings?
There are coat and bag bins near the entrance desk in the Millennium Gallery. One will be reserved for you when you book. Please ask staff on the desk, or your enabler to show you to the bins and lock/unlock them for you.

How can we prepare for our visit?
We recommend that you try and look around the exhibition with this pack before bringing your educational group so that you are familiar with the layout of the show and can plan for your visit. It may also be useful to explain aspects of the exhibition to pupils before their visit so that they come with appropriate expectations.

Are there suggestions to help complete a risk assessment for our visit?
